In addition to this, we looked at how to solve a word-problem that involved integer multiplication.  Today's activity is on Pg 291 (#11- 19), and #20 is bonus (optional) Tuesday November 24  - Hey everyone, today we started section 8.2 and we looked at how to multiply integers using a number line and the sign rules. Below is the Math agenda for the week of Monday November 9 - Friday November 13 for my Grade 8 & 9 classes:  Grade 8 Monday November 16  - Hey everyone, today we started Chapter 8 (INTEGERS). Today's lesson was an attempt to prepare us for the unit, so we reviewed what is an Integer, how to model it, and how to add and subtract integers.  Today's activity is the Ch. 8 Get Ready Worksheet. This is due on Wednesday Nov 18. Also a reminder to study for the Chapter 6 Unit test tomorrow.  Tuesday November 17  - Today we are writing the Chapter 6 (Fraction Operations) UNIT TEST. Make sure you know how to multiply, divide, add and subtract fractions using the math rules. All the best!! Moreover, we looked at how to use a rectangle model to help us multiply a mixed number by a mixed number.  Today's activity if you didn't finish in class is Pg 216 (#1-4) Tuesday November 3  - Hi everyone, today we wrapped up section 6.4 and looked at how to model the multiplication of mixed numbers with an area model. We also learned how to mathematically multiply mixed numbers.
