Below is the Math agenda for the week of Monday November 9 - Friday November 13 for my Grade 8 & 9 classes:
Grade 8
Monday November 9 - Hey everyone, today we started section 6.6 and looked at applying multiple operations that involve fractions. We reviewed BEDMAS, and we did a mini-lesson on adding and subtracting fractions. For additional support with these ideas please see the links to some videos on my notes.
Today's activity is on Pg 233 (#1 - 5)
Tuesday November 10 - Hi everyone, today we are wrapping up Section 6.6 and looking at a word-problem that requires multiple steps involving fraction operations.
Today's activity is on Pg 234 (#6 - 14)
Wednesday November 11 - No School -"Remembrance Day"
Thursday November 12 - Today we are reviewing for the Unit test next week Tuesday, and we are working on the:
Chapter 6 Review on Pg 236 (#1-27). If you don't finish is class you can have some time in class tomorrow.
Friday November 13 - Today we are reviewing and working on the:
Chapter 6 Practice Test on Pg 238 (#1-15). This activity is due on Monday November 16.
**A reminder that your Ch. 6 UNIT TEST is on Tuesday November 17.**

Grade 9
Monday November 9 - Hey everyone, today we used class time to work on the remainder of section 2.2 and we went over some questions in class.
Today's activity is Pg 60 (#12 - 24, 27-29). Please wrap this up tonight if you didn't finish in class.
Tuesday November 10 - Today we are starting section 2.3, and we are looking at working with rational numbers in their fraction form (ie: multiplying, dividing, adding and subtracting fractions).
Today's activity is on Pg 67 (#1 - 6).
Wednesday November 11 - No School -"Remembrance Day"
Thursday November 12 - Today we are writing the Chapter 2 QUIZ on sections 2.1 - 2.2. {Understanding the Real Number System, comparing numbers in different forms, finding numbers within numbers, converting fractions to decimals and visa-versa, and computations with decimal numbers}. All the best!
Friday November 13 - Today we will be wrapping up the notes from Section 2.3, and we will be looking at application (real world) problems that involve fraction operations.
Today's activity is on Pg 68 (#7 - 12)
