Below is the Math AGENDA for the week of Monday January 31 - Friday February 4 for my Grade 8 & 9 Math classes: Grade 8 Monday January 31  - No School today.  Tuesday February 1 -  Hey everyone, welcome back I hope you all had a nice long weekend. Today we are working in section 4.3, and we'll be looking at finding the percent of a number. We'll be using two strategies. 1) Mental Math, 2) Using an algorithm to calculate the percent of a number. Wednesday January 26 - Hi guys, today we are starting Chapter 4 (Understanding Percents). We'll be looking at the vocabulary needed to be successful in this unit. Below is the Math AGENDA for the week of Monday January 17 - Friday January 21 for my Grade 8 & 9 Math classes: Grade 8 Monday January 17  -  Hey everyone, today we are starting section 9.3 and we'll be looking at using a formula to graph the relationship. In order to do this, you take the formula and  build a table  and choose some numbers to put in the table of values. Then you will use the ordered pairs as your coordinates on the graph.  Please refer to the section 9.3 NOTES in the gr. 8 notes tab on my Blog for details.  Today's activity is on Pg 356 (#1-6) Tuesday January 18 -  Hey everyone, today we continuing to work in section 9.3 and we are looking at taking an equation and graphing it. Please remember that you need to  build a table , pick some values to put into the table and then use the ordered pairs to plot the points on the graph.  Please refer to the section 9.3 NOTES in the gr. 8 notes tab on my Blog for details.  Today's activity is on Pg 357 (#7-9,12)
