Below is the Math agenda for the week of Monday March 15 - Friday March 19 for my Grade 8 & 9 classes:  Grade 8 Monday March 15  - Hey everyone, today we are writing the Chapter 3 QUIZ (which includes sections 3.1-3.3).   Below is the Math agenda for the week of Monday March 8 - Friday March 12 for my Grade 8 & 9 classes:  Grade 8 Monday March 8  - Hey everyone, today we will are looking at wrapping up Section 3.2 and we'll be looking at the fact that a right triangle will meet the following criteria:  "the sum of the areas of the squares attached to the legs of the triangle is equal to the area of the square attached to the hypotenuse." March 1 - March 5, 2021

Below is the Math agenda for the week of Monday March 1 - Friday March 5 for my Grade 8 & 9 classes:  Grade 8 Monday March 1  - Hey everyone, today we will be looking at 2 ways to determine if a number is a square number.  Method 1: by modelling it with tiles, and Method 2: the idea of prime factorization.  Also, we will be looking at finding the prime factors of a number by using a prime factor tree.  Please refer to the section 3.1 NOTES in the gr. 8 notes tab on my Blog for details and for review.  Today's activity is on Pg 85 (#5-8) Tuesday March 2  - Hey everyone, today are looking at how to determine if a number is a perfect square by using prime factorization.
