Monday January 31 - No School today.
Tuesday February 1 - Hey everyone, welcome back I hope you all had a nice long weekend. Today we are working in section 4.3, and we'll be looking at finding the percent of a number. We'll be using two strategies. 1) Mental Math, 2) Using an algorithm to calculate the percent of a number. Today's focus is on (#1) Mental math strategies.

Today's activity is on Pg 141 (#1-8)
Wednesday February 2 - Hey everyone, today we are wrapping up section 4.3 and we'll be looking at finding the percent of a number using the algorithm.

Today's assignment is on Pg 142 (#9-16)
Thursday February 3 - Today we are writing the Chapter 4 QUIZ on sections 4.1 - 4.3.
Be sure to know what is a percent and how to represent it. Moreover, you will need to know how to convert from a fraction <--> decimal <--> percent, and how to find the percent of a number. All the best!!

Tuesday February 1 - Hey everyone, today you are writing the Chapter 1 UNIT TEST on symmetry and surface area. Please be sure to have your formula sheets with you. All the best!!
Wednesday February 2 - Hey everyone, today we are looking at two methods for creating scale drawings. One being grid paper, and the other by using the scale factor. When using the scale factor you simply MULTIPLE THE DIMENSION WITH THE SCALE FACTOR TO FIND THE NEW DIMENSION.

Today's activity is on Pg 136 (#7-12, 15)
Thursday February 3- Hey guys, today we are starting section 4.2 and we're looking at what is the SCALE, and how to represent a scale. Moreover, we'll be looking at proportions.

Today's activity is on Pg 139 (#1 - 5), you will need a ruler for this activity.
Friday February 4 - Hey everyone, today we are looking at applying proportions, and learning how to find the scale factor from the drawing(diagram).
