Below is the Math AGENDA for the week of Monday May 23 - Friday May 27 for my Grade 8 & 9 Math classes:

Monday May 23 - No School, May Long Weekend...
Tuesday May 24 - Hey guys, today we are looking at misrepresenting data with distortions in the graph. This is done by putting a break in the graph, which in turn causes distortions in the bar, and/or line graphs. Moreover, we looked at distorting pictographs by changing the size(s) of the pictures.
Today's activity is Pg 23 (#1-7)
Wednesday May 25 - Hey everyone, today we are wrapping up the notes on Section 1.2 and we are looking at distorting bar graphs. We will do this by changing the size of the BARS that you are drawing which in turn changes the AREA of the bars hence giving a distortion.

Thursday May 26 - Hey everyone, today are using class time as work period to complete the rest of the questions in section 1.2.

Friday May 27 - Hey everyone, today we are starting section 1.3 and we're looking at critiquing graphs and learning about STACKED BAR GRAPHS.

Today's activity is on Pg 31 (#1, 2, 4, 5)
***Also, a reminder that your Chapter 1 QUIZ (on sections 1.1-1.2 and all your vocabulary) is on Monday May 30th.

Tuesday May 24 - Today we are using class time to review, and we are working on:
Chapter 10 Practice Test on Pg 406 (#1-9).
Please wrap up the Chapter 10 Review Page 404 (#1-20) from last day if you haven't already.
Also, there are a few extra-practice sheets you can take today!
Wednesday May 25 - We are using class time to review for tomorrow's unit test. Please continue to work on the Chapter 10 Practice Test Pg 406 (#1-9). If you are done you can work on the few extra-practice sheet.
Thursday May 26 - Today we are writing the Chapter 10 UNIT TEST. All the best!!
Friday May 27 - Hi everyone, today we are starting Chapter 11 (Data Analysis). We will be looking at populations vs samples. Moreover, we will be looking at the 4 sampling methods.
Today we are working on the section 11.1 BOOKLET and looking at the 7 influencing factors that affect sampling.
Today's activity is (#1-3) in the section 11.1 Booklet
