Grade 8
Monday March 28 - Hey everyone, today we are using class time to work on the Chapter 5 Review:
Today's activity is on Pg 188 (#1 - 19), if you are not done in class you can have some time in class tomorrow to work on it.
Tuesday March 29 - Hi everyone, today we are working on the Chapter 5 Practice Test if you are done the Ch. 5 Review.
The activity is on Pg 190 (#1 - 11)
Wednesday March 30 - Hey everyone, today we are reviewing for the Chapter 5 UNIT TEST on Surface Area. All the best!!
Thursday March 31 - Hey everyone, today we are starting Chapter 3 Pythagorean Theorem. We will be looking at exploring the idea of perfect squares vs non-perfect squares.
Today's activity is on Pg 80 (#1-5).
Friday April 1 - Hey everyone, today we will be looking at 2 ways to determine if a number is a square number.
Method 1: by modelling it with tiles, and Method 2: the idea of prime factorization.
Also, we will be looking at finding the prime factors of a number by using a prime factor tree.

Grade 9
Monday March 28 - Today we are applying the concept of solving equations that involve word problems, and real-world applications. Moreover, we will be looking at implementing different strategies to solve the various problems.

Today's activity is on Pg 302 (#8 - 16)
Tuesday March 29 - Hey everyone, today we are using class time as a work-period to wrap up the problems in section 8.1 and we'll be looking at going over questions from last day.
Today's work is on Pg 302 (#17 -29)
Wednesday March 30 - Hey everyone, today we are starting section 8.2 and we'll be looking at solving 2-step equations of the form ax + b = c, and x/a + b = c. We will be solving 2-step equations in fraction and decimal form. A reminder that when solving 2-step equations that you will need to undo the adding/subtracting FIRST, and then undo the multiplication/division SECOND.

Thursday March 31 - Hey everyone, today we will be looking at application questions that involve 2-steps.

Friday April 1 - Hey everyone, today we are continuing to work on section 8.2 and looking at solving real world and problems involving you setting up and solving 2-step equations.
