Grade 8
Monday March 14 - Hey everyone, today we are starting section 5.3, and we are looking at calculating the surface area of rectangular prisms. A reminder that it has 6 sides and you will need to find the area of all 6 sides and take their sum.

Today's activity is on Pg 179 (#1-6)
Tuesday March 15 - Hi everyone, today we are looking at calculating the surface area of a triangular prism. A reminder that there are 5 sides and you will need to find the are of (2 triangles and 3 rectangles and take their sum).

Wednesday March 16 - Hi everyone, we are starting section 5.4, and we are looking at understanding and proving the surface area formula for a CYLINDER. Also, as an example we will be looking at calculating the surface area of a cylindrical object.

Thursday March 17 - Hey everyone, today we are writing the Chapter 5 QUIZ. It will cover topics 5.1 - 5.3. All the best!
Friday March 18 - Hey everyone, today are wrapping up the notes on section 5.4. We are looking at applying the surface area of a cylinder (in diagram form and net form) and applying the strategies to find the surface area of cylinders through word-problems.

Monday March 14 - Hey everyone, today we are using class time to review, and we are working on the Chapter 6 REVIEW.
Today's activity is on Pg 244 (#1-14), this is not homework you will have class time tomorrow to work on it...
Moreover, I will have a couple extra-practice worksheets for you to work on if you'd like.
Tuesday March 15 - Hi everyone, today are continuing to work on the Chapter 6 Review (Pg 244 (#1-14)).
If you finish the review you may want to work on the Chapter 6 Practice test: Pg 246 (#1-10). This activity is *optional.
Wednesday March 16 - Hi guys, today we are writing the Chapter 6 UNIT TEST. Wish you all the best!!
Thursday March 17 - Hey everyone, today we are starting a new unit, Chapter 8 SOLVING LINEAR EQUATIONS. Moreover, we will be reviewing fraction operations, and looking at solving 1-step equations.

Today's activity is on Pg 292 (#1-4), also please READ pages 294 - 295 to be ready for tomorrow's lesson.
Friday March 18 - Hey everyone, today we are looking at solving equations that involve one-step, and are of the form a/x = b. How to solve equations when the variable is in the denominator position.

Today's activity is on Pg 301 (#2-7).
