Below is the Math AGENDA for the week of Monday September 13 - Friday September 17 for my Grade 8 & 9 Math classes:
Grade 8
Monday September 13 - Today we re-capped how to add & subtract integers, moreover we looked at multiplying using integer chips. In addition to this, we looked at how to solve a word-problem that involved integer multiplication.
Today's activity is on Pg 291 (#11- 19), and #20 is bonus (optional)
Tuesday September 14 - Hey everyone, today we started section 8.2 and we looked at how to multiply integers using a number line and the sign rules. Please refer to your notes from class today to see how this is done.
The assignment is on Pg 296 (#1, 3-11)
Wednesday September 15 - Hey everyone, today we wrapped up section 8.2 and applied integer multiplication through solving word problems.
Today's activity is on Pg 297 (#12 - 29) if you can finish it tonight that's great. Otherwise please finish Pg 297 (#12-19) today, and you can have some class time tomorrow to finish the rest Pg 298 (#20 -29).
Today's activity is on Pg 303 (#1, 3-7)
Friday September 17 - Hey everyone, today we are writing the MIPI (Math Intervention/Programming Instrument). The MIPI is 50 minute assessment that is not for marks. It is comprised of both multiple choice and numerical response questions. Please bring your devices (if you have one) ie: i-pads, laptops and or tablets for today.

Monday September 13 - Hi everyone, today we are wrapping up section 2.1, and looking at how to compare rational numbers and how to find a number that is in between two numbers.
Today's activity is on Pg 52 (#10-20,22,25).
Tuesday September 14 - Hi guys, today we started section 2.2, and looked at decimal operations and how to add and subtract decimals by hand and using a scientific calculator.
Today's activity is on Pg 59 (#1-5)
Wednesday September 15 - Hi everyone, today we will be wrapping up the notes on section 2.2 and looking at multiplying decimal numbers using the algorithm, and dividing decimal numbers using long-division. Moreover, we will be refining our estimation skills today.
Today's activity is on Pg 60 (#6-11)
Thursday September 16 - Hey everyone, today we used class time to work on the remainder of section 2.2 and we went over some questions in class.
Today's activity is Pg 60 (#12 - 24, 27-29).

*A reminder that you have a QUIZ tentatively on Tuesday September 21 OR Wednesday September 22, the Chapter 2 QUIZ on sections 2.1 - 2.2. {Understanding the Real Number System, comparing numbers in different forms, finding numbers within numbers, converting fractions to decimals and visa-versa, and computations with decimal numbers}.
