Monday May 10 - Hey everyone, today we are wrapping up our unit on Volume. Today we are working on the Chapter 7 Practice Test.
Today's activity is on Pg 278 (#1-15).
*Moreover, you need to submit your assigned work {Pg 273 (#6-8,12-14,16,19,21) & Pg 276 (#1-20)} into myPortfolio in D2L. For details, please view D2L
Tuesday May 11 - Hey everyone, today are starting Chapter 1 REPRESENTING DATA. We looked at defining data, interval and some conversions such as 100cm = 1m, and 12inches = 1foot. Moreover, we will be learning about the 6 types of graphs we will be using, and what each graph is best suited for.

Today's activity is on Pg 13 (#1, 3 - 6)
***The Chapter 7 QUIZ #2 on (sections 7.1 - 7.4) and mainly section 7.4 is open at 9am today and you have all day to write it. You can access it in D2L. Please see the specific details of the test in D2L. The Ch.7 Quiz #2 is open from today until Thursday May 13 at 8pm
Wednesday May 12 - Hey everyone, today we looked at representing data with a CIRCLE graph.
A reminder that to find the percent you divide the value by the total and then you multiply by a hundred.
Also, a reminder that to find the angle of the sector in the circle you simply take the PERCENT OF THE CIRCLE, (ie; convert the percent to a decimal, and then multiply by 360 degrees.

Thursday May 13 - Hey everyone, today we looked at using MICROSOFT EXCEL to create different types of Graphs from a set of data. Also, if you want you could use the spreadsheet program in GOOGLE DRIVE to create graphs.
Today's activity is on Pg 15 (#9 -14, 16)
***Today is the last day to write the Chapter 7 QUIZ #2, and it is open today until 8pm. After that the Chapter 7 QUIZ #2 will be closed.
Friday May 14 - Hey guys, today we are looking at misrepresenting data with distortions in the graph. This is done by putting a break in the graph, which in turn causes distortions in the bar, and/or line graphs. Moreover, we looked at distorting pictographs by changing the size(s) of the pictures.
Today's activity is Pg 23 (#1-7), and is due on Monday May 17.

Tuesday May 11 - Hey everyone, today we are starting Chapter 4 (Scale Factor & Similarities). Moreover, we will be defining what is an enlargement, reduction and scale factor. We will also be looking at what happens when the scale factor = 1, scale factor < 1, and a scale factor > 1.
***For this unit you will need: A RULER, and GRID PAPER.***

Wednesday May 12 - Hey everyone, today we are looking at two methods for creating scale drawings. One being grid paper, and the other by using the scale factor. When using the scale factor you simply MULTIPLE THE DIMENSION WITH THE SCALE FACTOR TO FIND THE NEW DIMENSION.

Thursday May 13 - Hey guys, today we are starting section 4.2 and we're looking at what is the SCALE, and how to represent a scale. Moreover, we'll be looking at proportions.
Today's activity is on Pg 139 (#1 - 5), you will need a ruler for this activity.
***Today is the last day to write the Chapter 7 QUIZ, and it is open today until 9pm. After that the Chapter 7 QUIZ will be closed.
